Conference Awards
Each year, the Social Capital Conference recognises outstanding contributions presented at the annual conference. In keeping with good academic and professional practice, awards are determined by an appointed jury or through a vote of conference participants.
Best Academic Presentation — Senior Academic
Recognises an outstanding academic presentation by an established researcher, based on the quality, originality, clarity, and contribution of the work.
Best Academic Presentation — PhD Student
Recognises an exceptional academic presentation by a PhD student, highlighting the quality of the research, the clarity of its communication, and its potential contribution to the field.
Best Poster Presentation
Recognises the most effective poster presentation, considering the quality of the work, visual communication, clarity, and engagement with conference participants.
Best Practitioner Presentation
Recognises an outstanding presentation by a practitioner that demonstrates valuable applied insight, practical relevance, and a meaningful contribution to understanding or applying social capital.
Lifetime Achievement Award
Presented from time to time to recognise an individual whose sustained body of work has made an exceptional contribution to the study or application of social capital.
Outstanding Commitment to the Social Capital Community
Presented from time to time to recognise exceptional service, leadership, or sustained commitment to strengthening and supporting the international social capital community.
Recognition by the Social Capital Community
The awards are not accompanied by a cash prize. They represent the appreciation and recognition of the social capital community.
