Virtual Participation

Can’t make it to Dubai? You can still be part of the conversation.

We’re offering a virtual participation option for those who can’t attend in person but want to share their research, projects, or programs, exchange ideas, and connect with the global community.

The conference will take place in person at Heriot-Watt University Dubai, and we strongly encourage everyone who is able to join us on site. Being there in person offers the richest opportunities to connect, collaborate, and fully engage in the conference experience. At the same time, we recognise that travel to Dubai is not possible for everyone.

As a virtual delegate, you will:

  • Attend dedicated online sessions held the day before the main conference, on Wednesday, March 17, 2027.
  • Gain on-demand access to recordings of all three keynote presentations, offering world-class insights from leading thinkers.

This is your chance to participate in the conference from anywhere and still connect with the people and ideas shaping the field.

At this stage, the main conference program will not be available to virtual participants. If there is sufficient interest in virtual participation, we may be able to provide more of the conference program to virtual participants.

A Fully Online Conference Experience

The virtual day will run 17 March 2027, with sessions scheduled to accommodate participants from multiple time zones. Delegates will be able to attend presentations, join discussions, and connect with others in the field from anywhere in the world.

The event will be hosted on Whova, a leading conference platform that supports an engaging and interactive online experience.

Through Whova, participants will be able to:

  • Attend live conference sessions and presentations
  • Watch session recordings on demand
  • Participate in Q&A and discussion forums
  • Connect with other delegates through messaging, community boards, and networking tools
  • Access the full conference program, speaker profiles, and updates in one place

Whova makes it possible to recreate many of the benefits of an in-person conference — including spontaneous conversations, thematic discussions, and opportunities to build new connections with others working in this space.
